In Loving Memory of Patti

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Romnes, a beloved mother and grandmother. After suffering from declining health the last year, she passed away on September 24, 2023 at the age of 77.

Patricia "Patti" Louise Alder Romnes was born in Los Angeles, California. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area right after high school, where she eventually raised her three children in San Mateo. After her two granddaughters were born, "Gigi" moved to South Lake Tahoe to be closer to them.

Patti earned her Master's Degree and teaching credentials at San Francisco State University. She loved and adored teaching students with learning challenges until her retirement. To her students, she gave completely with her whole heart and without judgment.

Anyone who knew Patti knew one of her greatest loves were her dogs. She fostered and provided hospice care for many dogs over the years. She also loved gardening and made many friendships through those shared passions.

Patti is survived by her three children and their spouses, two amazing grand-daughters, and two very large and very fluffy dogs.

Per her wishes, Patti’s ashes were scattered in a place she loved in a private memorial with her children & grandchildren.
