Pamela Jean Ruger, a long-time resident of South Lake Tahoe, CA, passed peacefully on October 25, 2020, at the age of 73. Pam is survived by her son and his wife, Jim Ruger, Jr. (Tracy), daughter, Barbra Ruger-Ratliff (John), and grandchildren, James, Justin, Zane, and Gracean, and by her sisters, Lavonne Davis and Mary Jo Colipy. Pam was born July 15, 1947 in Burien, WA to John and Mary Colipy. Her family moved to Salem, OR, where she spent a large portion of her years, prior to moving to South Lake Tahoe in 1980. Pam was kind-hearted, had a witty sense of humor, and positively impacted the lives of anyone who was fortunate enough to meet her. Throughout life, Pam enjoyed trivia, doing crossword puzzles, and listening to true-crime stories. She had an unending love for all of God's creatures, especially dogs. More than anything, her children, grandchildren, and her late husband, Jim Ruger, Sr., were the loves of her life. Pam had a personal relationship with God and was baptized in 1997 at First Baptist Church in South Lake Tahoe. The family would like to send a deep, heart-felt gratitude to Dr. Henning Mehrens and all of the fantastic staff at Barton Skilled Nursing. She received exemplary care and was blessed to be a part of this wonderful second family for the past eight years. A small celebration of life will be held for close friends and immediate family.
