George survived WW2, 3 quadruple heart bypasses & heart surgery on his Aorta, 2 knee replacements and 2 wives. He rode his scooter to Raley's and other places in So. Lake Tahoe before passing away at Barton Hospital on May 17th 2012, just shy of his 88th Birthday. George lived a great life and was very proud of all of his kids and grandkids. We were all proud of him and not just for WW2, but to be 100% disabled and to keep on going with the help of his daughter Christina and her family all these years. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be missed I'm sure by a lot of people in So. Lake Tahoe. By his request, his cremains will be taken to San Diego and taken out on the next ship leaving to be deposited in the ocean at their convenience. We all loved him a lot. He thought mostly of others before himself. He's in heaven and we will all see him someday.
