South Lake Tahoe - Frank Arthur Sloan, 70 died May 20, 2020 at his home in South Lake Tahoe following a brief illness. He is survived by his two daughters, Shannon Sloan Peterson and Sadie Sloan Tucker, and four grandchildren Kalijah Townley, Silas Townley, Gavin Tucker and Maia Tucker, along with his brother, Jack Q. Sloan. Born In Temple, Texas and raised in Waco, Texas, the son of Dr. Jack Q. Sloan and Carter Ernst Sloan, he moved to California shortly after attending college. He worked in the oil business the majority of his career, and sold real estate before retiring. He graduated from Richfield High School in Waco in 1968 and attended TCU and Texas Tech University. Frank loved living in South Lake Tahoe. The casinos and the celebrities were quite a draw for his sparkling personality. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid reader. Later in life he was a seasoned teller of tall tales. There will be a small service in Waco, Texas at a later date.
